Sun Yat-sen Chairman Warren Luke, along with President Steven Ai presented the Foundation’s first Lifetime Achievement Award to Walter Chee Kwon Chun and his wife Sau Chun Wong Chun for their efforts to improve the quality of life, and the understanding of people from both China and the United States of America.
Both were born in Hawaii, but spent the majority of their adult lives helping the people of China improve their lives and to guide the country into the modern era. Their work also helped open the door to the West, and paved the way for improving trade and relations between the two countries.
